Lou's teaching style is always suited to her class and always flows so well. I really look forward to the classes, as it is time just set aside for me and I always feel good afterwards. Lou's classes are varied, a nice pace and I love the visualisations. I feel younger after. Christine, 68
I've
been teaching martial arts for a couple of years now and have been
training for over 10 years. Flexibility and relaxation is really
important and in the past I've struggled to find that peace of mind.
Louise's classes are great for relaxing my mind and body and leave me
feeling refreshed. Her style of teaching is suitable for both men and
women, as my girlfriend also comes along with me. Charlie, 26
Lou's teaching style is gentle, reassuring and stimulating. I enjoy the sessions enormously and the classes have re-awakened my interest in pranayama and chanting. Catherine, 61
Lou has a wonderfully calm style of teaching, so the class flows effortlessly. She has encouraged us all to try new things, including chanting, and there is a great balance of breathing, stretching and relaxing.Yoga has given me the confidence to challenge my own body and to realise "I can do that". Val, 50
In
a busy world, yoga helps to bring a sense of calm and order to my mind
and body. I consider myself so fortunate that my first experience of
yoga has been in a class taught by Louise Thorndycraft. I leave her
class knowing I have challenged my body yet feeling refreshed, calm,
peaceful and completely relaxed. I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't
benefit from yoga - men, women and children of all ages. Allison
I always feel relaxed and at ease in Lou's class. Her quiet but confident demeanour engenders good practice from her class. Yoga has improved my posture and has encouraged a better breathing routine. It helps to co-ordinate mind and body and is a great cure for insomnia. Tom, 64
The type of yoga Lou teaches makes me feel a lot nicer about myself, especially after our chanting and relaxation. There is a nice atmosphere in the class and everyone is happy to be there. I wish I started years ago. Margaret, 65
I've been attending Lou’s yoga class for nearly 18 months and it's everything I could ask for. There is a good mixture of posture, breathing techniques and relaxation, not to mention the friendly atmosphere. Lou has such a calm and relaxing way of teaching that you feel at peace the minute you stand on your mat. Lou gets to know her students and their capabilities and plans the class accordingly. She inspires and encourages everyone she teaches. Anita, 40
i like the relaxed and friendly atmosphere and the fact that I feel good at the end. I find now that I can lie down flat on my back and relax more, which I could not do before I started yoga. I love the relaxation at the end. Kevin, 71
Yoga has strengthened my muscles and relaxed my mind. Lou is a very gentle, calming person and an excellent teacher. Very approachable. Chris, 58
Lou Thorndycraft has worked for North West Pilates and Yoga Centre since September 2007. She is enthusiastic, passionate and driven and has motivated a range of clients, from beginners to advanced, with varied and challenging choreography. She is also used to working with clients with mental health problems and a range of other medical issues. I feel that she is inspirational and is definitely an asset to another yoga studio.
